UNDER THE SURFACE

The collection was part of an industry project in collaboration with Ermanno Scervino, as part of my studies at Istituto Marangoni Firenze.

The idea behind the collection was to bring the inside to the outside.

Peel off the layers of protection, and to expose the pains of the soul.

I chose the corset as an object for inspiration because it holds you in and creates unnatural shape when you take it off, is if you take your guard down.

I used the rope as a symbol of the soul curves and decided to wrap it with thin leather so it can still be seen under the surface as we wrapped ourselves every day with different guards.
